<b>April 14, 2008 Lawrence, KS</b> - Absorbent, Ink. has announced the launch of Absorbent, Ink. Dollars, or AID, an employee program that offers immediate financial support to current Absorbent, Ink. employees at a time of personal crisis involving financial hardship.<br />
<br />
The AID fund is created from voluntary employee contributions.  In the spirit of true benevolence, any employee on staff at Absorbent, Ink., full or part-time, is eligible to receive a donation from AID beginning on the individual's start date of employment whether or not that individual contributes to the fund.<br />
<br />
“We have the gift of being surrounded by exceptional folks out here, so programs like AID are a perfect fit.  Through a simple nomination process, the committee is made aware of an employee’s financial emergency and can act swiftly with financial support,” said Billy Pilgrim, AID committee chairman and Absorbent, Ink. co-founder.  “Area firms that have programs that are similar, helped us with the fine details and administrative guidelines and I’d be honored to pay it forward and help any business get a program like this fired up at their workplace.”<br />

            <description><![CDATA[<br><b>Lawrence, KS, March 11, 2008</b> - Employees of Absorbent, Ink., a Lawrence-based promotional products company, are raising money for charity with this year's NCAA basketball tournament.  Employees will donate a minimum of $5 to fill out an NCAA tournament bracket and designate a local charity to receive the winnings.  Absorbent, Ink. will match the amount raised to donate to the winning charity.  Last year the winning charity was Health Care Access Clinic.<br />
<br />
"Last year the bracket challenge was a big hit.  We were able to have some fun and give a donation to a community gen, the Health Care Access Clinic,” said Lee Eldridge, President of Absorbent, Ink.  “Our staff is really excited about this challenge. Most of them will probably end up filling out two brackets, one with the Jayhawks going all the way, of course.” Eldridge encourages other local businesses to get involved.  “There are some great charities and non-profits in Lawrence.
