Thanksgiving Promo Ideas

What makes this sound … “Blarb, grumble … SMASH!” Know the answer? It is the sound of uncle Bob falling into the recliner to watch the game after a tasty Thanksgiving meal!

Thanksgiving can conjure up many images and activities, but food and football typically top this list. This year, why not try to emphasize the “Thanks” in Thanksgiving by giving your employees mementos to show you are thankful for their work.

How many Thanksgiving dinners have you attended where the host has run out of essential items? This problem does not signify that the Thanksgiving dinner is ruined, but it does, however, make serving that much more difficult. Help your employees and clients avoid this problem by giving them personalized oven mitts, pot holders and placemats. These items can be used repeatedly and will come in handy for future Thanksgiving dinners, as well.

Thanksgiving is one of the main holidays where families are brought together. Unfortunately, not all families can be together on Thanksgiving day because of work. Help employees and clients keep the memory of their family near by giving them picture frames. An image of one’s family may not be as good as coming home for Thanksgiving, but it is an acceptable substitute.

Another major theme of Thanksgiving is the act of giving to others. To encourage your employees to think of people who may be less fortunate this year, give them coin banks with a Thanksgiving themed imprinted message to place spare change and money in throughout November. The office can count the money the Monday before Thanksgiving and then donate it to the charity of the offices’ choice.

Make this Thanksgiving memorable by highlighting some of the themes of Thanksgiving that go un-noticed. This way, uncle Bob can still have his football and food, but he can also enjoy the nice ambiance of Thanksgiving themed placemats, the picture he has of his family by his desk at work, and he can take solace in knowing that he may have helped someone less fortunate have a nice Thanksgiving. Wow. I bet uncle Bob feels pretty darn good.
