Products to Help You Prepare for Halo 3

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

Got to … keep … on … going …

This phrase was probably muttered many times by the people who were able to get a copy of Halo 3. Once you start a game as addictive as Halo 3, it is hard to stop. The only thing to help prepare you and your beloved gamer friend for the many hours he or she will be sitting in front of the television is by giving them life sustaining promotional products.

Nalgene Water Bottles:

Who has time to get up for water when your character’s life is at stake? No one. Keeping a Nalgene water bottle near will ensure that your game playing pal won’t keel over from dehydration.

First Aid Kits:

On hour 6, your gaming friend may find they have developed blisters on their hands from gripping their game controller. To help them easily fix this problem, give them a first aid kit so they can quickly patch up and return to their journey.

Health and Beauty Kits:

Whew! What is that smell? Oh, it is your friend. After spending days on end playing Halo 3, your friend may begin to smell a bit, uh … ripe. To remedy this situation, immediately give them a health and beauty kit to clean up with. Perhaps you should also give them a tin of breath mints, too.

Now you and your friend are ready! Begin the Halo 3 game playing experience knowing that you and your game playing buddy are prepared.

The World’s Largest Pencil

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

According to the Guiness Book of World Records, the world’s largest pencil (on the right) is in Malaysia at the Faber-Castell company headquarters. It is 65-feet tall.

However, there is a dispute on who has the largest pencil. It seems some folks in New York recently celebrated spritual leader and teacher Sri Chinmoy’s birthday by constructing a gynormous pencil. According to Wikipedia, “He receives a flood of international visitors around April 13 and August 27 - dates commemorating his arrival in the West and his birthday, respectively. These are marked by celebrations lasting about two weeks, with a flurry of meditations, concerts, humorous skits and plays, races and picnics.” The pencil is supposedly 76-feet long. Thanksgiving Promo Ideas

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

What makes this sound … “Blarb, grumble … SMASH!” Know the answer? It is the sound of uncle Bob falling into the recliner to watch the game after a tasty Thanksgiving meal!

Thanksgiving can conjure up many images and activities, but food and football typically top this list. This year, why not try to emphasize the “Thanks” in Thanksgiving by giving your employees mementos to show you are thankful for their work.

How many Thanksgiving dinners have you attended where the host has run out of essential items? This problem does not signify that the Thanksgiving dinner is ruined, but it does, however, make serving that much more difficult. Help your employees and clients avoid this problem by giving them personalized oven mitts, pot holders and placemats. These items can be used repeatedly and will come in handy for future Thanksgiving dinners, as well.

Gifts for a baby shower

Friday, September 21st, 2007

I have been looking all over for pencils for a baby shower. I would even like them engraved if it’s at all possible. I am giving a baby shower with a few games and i thought it would be a cute keepsake that people could use after. I can’t find anything like this anywhere, can you give me any suggestions?

Hi Debbie,
Thanks for your question! I, of all people, understand how difficult it is to plan any event. With careful planning and my expertise, however, success is not far! Let me begin by answering your initial question.

Absorbent, Ink. has a vast array of pencils. All of them can be imprinted with, “It’s a boy,” or, “It’s a girl,” if you know the sex of the baby. If not, imprint a personalized message congratulating the mother. Most of our pencils are either screen printed or silkscreened. There are, however, other printing options available depending on what type of pencil you would like to use.

Just in case you do not see any pencils that strike your fancy, here are a few unique product ideas.

McFly 2015s an MTV Fire Starter

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

Ever since we’ve heard about the McFly 2015s in April we’ve been keeping up on them. It looks like MTV has taken notice.

MTV NEWS reports: “OK, it’s no secret the lengths sneaker heads go to cop a pair of exclusives, but the Maloof brothers, Michael and Charles, might be taking it to the next next level. The two Canadians launched McFly2015.com in April in hopes of getting the suits over at Nike to actually release the Web site’s namesake McFly 2015s, which Michael J. Fox sported in “Back to the Future Part II.” So far the brothers have attracted close to 9,000 MySpace friends and the endorsements of a few notables, including indie band Whirlwind Heat — who told their fans to check the site — and Kanye West, whose Graduation album cover features the Dropout Bear sporting the kicks. Step to that.”

High School Musical: For the Parents

Friday, September 7th, 2007

Chances are if you have a child living under your roof you’ve experienced High School Musical 1 & 2 by now. I’m sorry you had to go through it, but you’re a great parent for doing so!

To ease the pain of the many re-runs, here are a couple of ideas to help make the experience more enjoyable:

Ear plugs- Save yourself from having to listen to Zac Ephron sing.
Sunglasses- Take a nap. This will be the only time it is ever okay to wear sunglasses indoors.
Radio- Upgrade the earplugs with an LED radio. Listen to your favorite station or a baseball game!
Neck rest- If you’re going to be lounging you might as well relieve sore neck muscles with a heatable neck wrap.

Halloween Tips: How to pull off tricks and treats safely

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

Boo! Ha-ha. Got you. Honestly though, Halloween can be a spooky time for everyone. Kids are scared of the un-known ghosts and goblins that possibly reside behind trees or in gutters while parents are scared of un-known people who are out and up to no good.

To ensure your employees and clients’ families are safe and have a stress free Halloween, make a check list or consider giving them these promotional products before Halloween.

1) Flashlights

Sidewalks are sometimes uneven and many neighborhoods are not lit well. Help your clients and employees’ kids avoid injuries by giving them flashlights. Flashlights are an easy and economical way to keep kids safe and aware of their surroundings.

2) Tote Bags

Occasionally plastic bags and even worn pillow cases can get holes in them, leaving candy to spill on the pavement. Help clients and employees’ kids avoid this problem by giving them a tote bag. This product may not aid in safety, but it will make carrying candy easier for kids. A tote bag can be used for gathering candy…a lot of candy.

3) Glow Bracelets

Ensure that kids are easily seen with these nifty glow bracelets. While most people are aware children are out and about collecting candy on Halloween, some people may forget. Glow bracelets can help people driving cars see children quicker and make them slow down.

These promotional products can take some of the stress off parents before their kids go out on Halloween. Make sure all your clients and employees’ have a spooky, not dangerous, Halloween.
