Styles
Megaphones come in several stylish options: electric, battery operated, and promotional-plastic models. The plastic models are the least expensive.
A brief history of megaphones
- Greek theatrical performers in sixth century B.C. used masks as part of their costumes. The funnel-shaped mouths of the masks were thought to have acted as megaphones to amplify the actors’ voices.
